My Name is Michaela Perez.
I am…
the granddaughter of farmworkers,
born and raised in the City of Oxnard,
a first-generation college graduate,
and a lifelong advocate of our community.
I am running to represent the people of Oxnard in the 6th City Council District, my community. With your support, I will become Oxnard’s next Councilwoman.
As your representative at the council, I will always prioritize:
- Community Health, Wellness & Public Safety
- Economic Development, Vitality & Sustainability
- Affordable Housing
- Equitable Restoration of City Services
- Oxnard’s Next Generation of Youth
I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s of Public Health from San Francisco State University. My experience is rooted in advocating for and expanding community-centered initiatives: I have managed workforce development programs that offered skills training for students in STEM fields, supported development of a statewide initiative increasing access to quality jobs, and developed broadband policy initiatives to increase digital access, training, and affordability for low-income families.
I, like you, want Oxnard to continue to be a flourishing city to live, work, and call home for future generations to thrive. It would be an honor to serve the residents of District 6 and the City of Oxnard.
Thank you for your support and your vote.
