My Priorities
City Services
Advocate for the continued equitable restoration of city services, programs, and oversight over the public’s taxpayer monies. Additionally, I would propose further investment in much-needed resources like Wellness and Recreational Centers in South Oxnard.
Oxnard's Youth
Ensure the Neighborhoods in District 6 have access to high-quality programming, skills training, and enriching opportunities for our youth and working families. With my experience in grant writing and resource leveraging, I know how to work towards greater program investment.
Small Businesses
Increase resource accessibility for local businesses and entrepreneurs by streamlining the permitting process, and updating cumbersome, outdated ordinances. Enhance economic mobility and job opportunities by creating project labor agreements for local development projects. Collaborate with local businesses, non-profits, and on-the-ground stakeholders to update and maintain Oxnard's economic vision.
Affordable Housing
More families need access to quality Oxnard homes. We must, as representatives, continually prioritize the needs of the people over profit. I will seek out responsible building projects that share our vision for the future of Oxnard and will add to our quality of life.
Public Safety
Safety is one of the primary functions of government. As your Council Member, I will make sure that District 6 does not fall through the cracks, be stereotyped, or overlooked. A person's safety depends on their Heath, Wellness, Environment, and Community. I will advocate for an approach to Public Safety that includes whole-person, wrap-around services. District 6, and all of Oxnard, deserves nothing less.
